Went to Coffeebean at 8am today to read up on my Geography and Debating notes. Unbelievable huh? HAHA! Had debating practice today, had no impromptu debates as there was only 3 of us. But well, I learnt quite alot even without any debates today. Today lesson was dry, but I learnt how to link up my points step by step, and also on how to do rebuttals. Cant wait for the next debating session! HEHE!
Today, I would like to talk on Customer service in singapore.

When I went to Shanghai, through personal experiences, the customer service was horrible! There was once when I ask for directions to the toilet, that 2 jewellery store aunties, just totally ignore me and were still continuing talking in their own world. Gosh! At that time, how I admire Singapore customer service though there were still some ships here and there. So what if I am tourist, the more they should welcome us into their country and not treat us as though "I want you out NOW!" attitude.
Coming back to Singapore, I was expecting better customer services. Yes, Singapore focuses on services alot, but because of the even thinniest ships around giving bad services, it still ruin the way people think of Singapore. It takes years to built up a good impression, but 1 instance to destroy it.
I certainly do agree that customer services in shopping centres are excellent, but still with flaws, but when we wonder into our neighbourhood shops, all you get is a chunk of rubbish. For one instance is that the person pratically do not even have the attitude of " I want to do my job well". There are rudeness, unhappiness, and sometimes, when they are just not happy, they just do the job for you anyhow. HELLOS! I am paying not to see your unhappy face. I was not even the one who make you unhappy, why give such an attitude. Its so unpleasant.
Customer Service is usually better in shopping centers as well, as tourist attractions. Why? Because we want to bring out a good image and impression to these people. But do tourist not go into neighbourhood shops? If so, what is their impression on us already?
My advice: It only takes an instance to destroy and impression/image. Even a thinniest shop can affect a person impression. Because you are still protraying what kind of customer service singapore can offer, how cultured are we people? A smile can bring you and extra mile. You only see us just for a while, why dont make this meeting a long and lasting excellent impression of yourself?
