So far, I have been spending my June holiday all in school trying to complete my Art coursework. It's tough job, try doing charcoal on canvas. Having your hands blackened by the charcoal, breathing in the smelly fixative and charcoal dusts, masking line after line and re-masking it again, it is as though I brought hell upon myself. But, despite all the hard work I've got to put in just for the background, I cannot deny the happiness I get after seeing everything falling into place. "My pursuit of happiness" is the title of my work. Maybe as long as I am willing to put in the hard work, I could make myself really happy.
The past few days I have been thinking so much, watching, taking note, listening, trying to understand everything that is happening around me. I understand more about the meaning of life now and I think, maybe, just maybe I know what is true love already. Afterall I'm an idealist, what I percieve as real may not be so in reality. But the saying of "It is worth waiting for the right one to come along" is very true. It takes a handful of failures, before one could understand what is the person one is looking for. I'll share with you more another time.
In a few hours time, I will be going to attend a 30 hours famine camp by world vision. To experience famine for 30 hours is very little to compare to others who experience it for their whole life. I just hope that this 30 hours would give me a chance to understand them. :)
